One of the mostly overlooked features in SilverFast is HiRePP which stands for High Resolution Picture Performance. It lets users open huge files in almost no time, even gigabytes picture files can be opened by SilverFast HDR or HDR Studio within seconds for editing.

The next table  clearly illustrates the advantage in terms of time saving only by opening the files in SilverFast HDR in contrast to Photoshop (without regarding the time saved on every command and operation)

HiRePP feature can be found in SilverFast options, under the “special” panel (see next picture).

The option is active by default, but since the only program capable of interpreting and using the power of this feature is SilverFast HDR, some users tend to deactivate it and forget about it.

If you happened to have deactivated this and changed your workflow to SilverFast HDR you will be able to take advantage of HiRePP by reactivating the feature.

If you do not have SilverFast HDR or HDR Studio yet, LaserSoft Imaging offers discounts on their online store for registered users.

Cheers
