It is my pleasure to write this very first post at the same time while wishing Mr. SilverFast aka. Karl-Heinz Zahorsky a very special “Happy Birthday”. For those who don´t know yet, he is the guy who founded the company LaserSoft Imaging in 1986 and the President of the company today.
LaserSoft Imaging became an early adaptor of color- and image processing on the Macintosh. In fact LaserSoft Imaging was the first to distribute innovative products e.g. video digitizers, such as Pixelogic’s »ProViz« and Truvel’s »TrueScan«, the first professional color scanner for the PC, which was first shown at Hannover fair CEBIT in 1988, which LaserSoft Imaging was invited to by Apple Computer.
I will keep his actual age as a secret for now since most people would probably rank him much younger anyways. Karl-Heinz Zahorsky is a very passionate aviator, with flights all over the world and four trans-atlantic flights in his single engine Mooney (N228RM). Currently he is planning his fifth flight scheduled for this summer. If you are interested in some stunning images of greenland and island with fjords and icebergs (big enough to land on) and things like weather displays, “inbound SOMBU” and “NDB-DMB approaches”, please make sure you go over to his dedicated website www.zahorsky.net to see routing and pictures of one of his trans-atlantic flights.
You may leave some birthday wishes yourself right here in the comments area below to this post.

I shoot a lot of images with a Widlux camera. Thnks to your software I have won several awards. I am espcecially impressed by the thoughtfulness of the layout of your software, and actually look forward to each session with my scanner because the results are always “exactly” what I want to achieve. Thank you so much for making my photo career a success. John
