hi
i just bought silverfast se 6.6 2r4a and to scan ektar 100 but the film is not available in the dropdown menu. is it discontinued? does another format fir the ektar 100 or can i upgrade my software? thanks for any help
Hi Martyn,
the Ektar 100 is available in your version, maybe a little bit hidden.
In the NegaFix dialog, please select ‘Kodak’ as the manufacturer, then select ” as film type. The you can choose ‘Ektar 100’ for ASA/ISO.
Christian,
yes I could find it now. Thank you very much for your help, I much appreciate it.
No support for Ektar 100 on PIE PrimeFilm 120 Pro scanners?
Dear Andrew,
unfortunately we don’t have a profile for this scanner/ film combination. You could try to take a similar film’s profile and manually derivate your own NegaFix Ektar 100 profile.
Best Regards
Christian Gregoire
The colours of the Ektar scans are not displaying correctly in the results where the image looks washed out and really overexposed. Is there a solution to this common issue?
Dear Sarah Louise,
in NegaFix please choose the Ektar 100 film. Check the “CCR” box for “Color Cast Removal”.
You can try to move the Exposure slider to the left to reduce exposure.
In SilverFast Ai Studio, you will also find some Expert Settings to manually adjust the gradation curves.
