With the introduction of the Automatic Frame Detection multiple reflective or transparent images can now be selected, scanned and optimized automatically with a single mouse-click. This comes in especially handy when scanning away a analogue archive of slides or reflective originals.

LIFE and Google launch one of the largest scanning projects ever

According to this post Time Warner and Google launched the availabilty of the LIFE photo archive on Google. The project has been in the making for the last two years with now supposedly ten million plus images available for search now.
