yes there is such a feature in SilverFast 8. It can be found in the “General” tab of the preferences, 5th item from top.

Super! Just what I’m looking for BUT….
…I can’t find it in the Preferences in SilverFast 8 AI Studio. Is there such a feature in this version?

That’s great to hear. This feature should not be buried under a series of sub-menus. The fact that this blog post was necessary shows that people were not able to find where this feature had been moved since v6.x.

This is a first-class tool that should be accessible via a button and also via keyboard shortcuts.

I have ss120 and want to exchange eeprom for upgrade of firmware.
but i live in south korea,so it is hard for me shiping the scanner to usa for service, cause it takes much money and time.
So, i want to know how and where can i buy a eeprom chip.
I will takes any risk of self exchangement.
So please let me know the way or tell me who know

Dear Mr. Tucker,

the It8 calibration is fairly easy to use. Just insert the target, start SilverFast and click on the IT8 button.
The calibration itself is performed fully automatic.

Are you using SilverFast 6 ? Here’s some information on Color Management and IT8 Calibration:

Are you using SilverFast 8 ?
Please try this button:

Which SilverFast version are you using ? Not all versions feature the IT8 calibration.

yes, images can be individually rotated. flipped and mirrored.

Hey, I bought the Silverfast calibration targets for both Kodachrome and Ektachrome. The targets arrived but did not come with instructions, and I’ve been unable to locate instructions on your website. I’ve been trying to insert these two targets into my Nikon Coolscan 9000ED scanner and calibrate them. But I have no clue what I’m supposed to do. I’ve tried some things but I don’t think they are right and I have no instructions from you. Please tell me what I should do. I want to scan lots of Kodachrome and Ektachrome and I want to do so now! Please help me now!

I really want to get things going now! Please respond quickly so I can get things going soon!
